Great Potheridge House

Great Potheridge House, set in 6 acres of land, is the remaining wing of General George Monck’s 17th century mansion house. It is a grade 1 listed building, with oak panelled dining room, original staircase with painted ceiling, huge fireplace with log burner in the lounge and huge amounts of history to be discovered.

In September 2019 - 60 of our year 5 and 6 children set off on a fun-filled mission of discovery, challenges and adventure. We were to overcome our fears, work as a team and challenge ourselves. We succeeded in all three!

The range of activities include: rock scrambling, gorge-walking, coasteering, raft-building, canoeing, team challenges, tree-abseiling, crate-stacking, low-ropes, blind line, orienteering and a night walk along the Tarka Trail.
